Last July, the Autonomous Region of Madeira adopted SiiMA Rastreios, First Solutions' multi-screening software for managing population screening across all the islands of the archipelago.

This project covers the five screenings currently available on the platform, namely the Colorectal Cancer, Cervical Cancer and Breast Cancer screenings, the Diabetic Retinopathy screening and the Child Visual Health screening.

Thus, the management of all these screenings is configured in SiiMA Rastreios and follows a specific workflow for each condition, from calling patients to their follow-up after diagnosis.

In this first phase, the pilot Colorectal Cancer screening started at Calheta Health Centre, and the pilot Cervical Cancer screening started at Jardim da Serra and Porto da Cruz Health Centres, with later expansion planned for the rest of the archipelago's population.
