The Azores Health Region began implementing Hepic in an initiative promoted by the Azores Regional Health with the aim of strengthening the monitoring and control of epidemiological surveillance of HAI in the region's hospital units.

The project provides Hepic as a single, cross-cutting IT solution for the three Regional Hospitals, enabling an integrated view of the patient journey and more efficient, harmonised and collaborative regional monitoring.

The project launch was marked by a joint training session that brought together professionals from the three hospitals, representatives of the regional Infection Prevention Control group (PPCIRA) and First , promoting from the outset, a collaborative and aligned approach among all the entities involved.
