First’s teleradiology solution for European Games in Baku, Azerbaijan

From 12 to 28th June it will take place the first sporting event "European Games" in Baku, capital of Azerbaijan, an event regulated by several European Olympic Committees.

The multi-sport event will feature over 6,000 European athletes who will represent a total of 20 sports including 16 Olympic sports.

DCM, First’s teleradiology solution was chosen to assist the medical team that will follow the athletes during the entire month of June in exams, diagnostics and reports in a centralized manner, simplifying all the information workflow.

According to Tiago Oliveira, First’s Business Development Manager (BDM), the choice of DCM for this event "confirms the versatility and adaptability of First’s solutions", designed and developed for different markets.

Among the many features, Tiago Oliveira highlights "integrated access to radiological images, the possibility of immediate follow-up of clinical evolution of each athlete, response times control and the use of voice recognition" as the main features that allow optimize diagnostic and recovery of athletes in the shortest time.

During the event, 2 radiological units and an international team of radiologists will be available to monitor the 6,000 athletes. DCM avoids the unnecessary dislocation of the medical team continuing to ensure adequate health care.
